A birthday party venue 10 minutes from Palatine for milestone celebrations of every age. Sweet sixteens to 80th birthdays. Up to 150 guests, in-house Italian kitchen, free parking. International Banquet, family-owned since 2008.
Not every birthday gets a party. The ones that do — sweet sixteens, 21sts, 40ths, 50ths, 60ths, 80ths — deserve a venue that takes the milestone seriously. Our space hosts birthday celebrations across every age bracket. For broader event options, our banquet hall page covers the full venue.
A sweet sixteen and an 80th birthday share a room but not a format. Here's how each decade actually wants to be celebrated.
Themed décor, photo backdrop. Less formal seated meal, more cocktail-party energy. Sweet 16s often add a slideshow of childhood photos.
More structured: sit-down dinner, toast moment, slideshow or video tribute. Common format for surprise parties.
Multi-generational. Three generations at the table. Italian-American family-style dinner format works well.
Daytime brunch or early-evening dinner. Slideshow of decades of photos. We pace service slower.

Round tables for sit-down birthdays, or buffet layout for cocktail-style parties. Free parking matters specifically for older birthdays where guests are 70+. Many families also book graduation celebrations near Palatine — see our graduation celebrations near Palatine page.
Three steps. Most events lock in within one conversation.
Age of the honoree, expected guest count, target date, format preference (sit-down, buffet, cocktail). Surprise parties — we coordinate around secrecy.
Menu confirmation (Family Style for sit-down, Plated Dinner for milestones), slideshow setup if any, custom décor coordination, dietary restrictions.
Walk into a decorated room. Honoree gets photos with every generation present. Cake cut on the timeline.
Older milestone birthdays (70th, 80th, 90th) typically book Individual Luncheon ($25/person) for daytime celebrations. 40th/50th/60th surprise parties and milestone birthdays often use the Plated Dinner package ($65/person with 3-hour open bar). Sweet sixteens vary — Family Style ($29/person) for sit-down, Buffet Style ($34/person) for cocktail-style.

View Full MenuSurprise parties succeed or fail on the secrecy plan, not the venue. We can stage cars off-property, time the guests' arrival, and coordinate the reveal moment — but if one cousin texts the honoree about the party, the surprise dies. The hosts who pull it off treat secrecy as a project, not a hope.
Multi-generational birthdays (70th, 80th, 90th) require slower service pacing. Older guests want to actually talk through the meal, not race through three courses in 75 minutes. We pace those events differently — longer cocktail hour, longer dinner window, optional sit-down dessert service. Mention age of honoree when you book; it changes how we plan.
Slideshows and video tributes work best when timed correctly. Showing them during dinner usually loses the room (people are eating and talking). Showing them right before the cake cut, with announced silence, works better. Send us the file ahead of time and we'll cue it to your timeline.
My dad's 80th — three generations, family-style Italian dinner. He cried during the slideshow. He never cries. The team paced everything so the older guests could actually talk over dinner.
My wife's surprise 50th. Months of planning, guests hiding their cars at the lot up the street. She walked in and froze. Worth every dollar and every secret.
Sweet 16 for my daughter — slideshow from kindergarten through sophomore year. She still sends me photos from that night two years later.
What hosts ask before booking the milestone.
Yes. We coordinate the secrecy — cars staged off-property, guests arrive 30 minutes early, dramatic reveal moment timed exactly. No extra charge for surprise format, just earlier planning.
Yes — and we pace service slower for those events. 70th, 80th, and 90th birthdays need longer cocktail hours, longer dinner windows, and optional sit-down dessert. Free parking close to the entrance matters specifically for these guests.
Yes — bring the file, we'll set it up for the timeline you want. The best moment is usually right before the cake cut, with announced silence — showing it during dinner often loses the room.
Yes. Custom menus accommodate dual-cuisine requests — Italian-American, Polish-American, Indian-American, others. Traditional elements (blessings, cultural games) integrate into the timeline.
Individual Luncheon ($25/person) for daytime older-guest birthdays. Family Style ($29/person) for sit-down 50th/60th celebrations. Plated Dinner ($65/person with bar) for milestone 40th–60th evening parties and 21sts.
The room can accommodate a small dance floor area for evening birthdays — we configure it based on guest count and format. Mention dance plans during booking so we plan the layout accordingly.
Up to 150 guests across all age formats. Sweet sixteens with the full friend group, 50th-birthday surprises, multi-generational 80ths — all fit.
